## Action Bars

Jack works with default action bars to perform rotations, using the Mount, Hearthstone, Fishing, etc. The following action bars are used for this (also includes bonus bars):

#### Classic

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/IbLFil8k7t1ps5yhMhwq" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

#### Retail

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/XkoiF14ZfJ5ZHlUHNMUX" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

{% hint style="info" %}
Mounts, Hearthstone, Fishing are automatically placed by Jack in the action bar marked with the red arrow as soon as you drag them into an action bar marked with the green arrow.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="success" %}
Spells and skills such as mounts or fishing are placed automatically if the loaded profile has this setting included and the character has learned the corresponding skill.
{% endhint %}

***

## Custom Keybinds

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/aJ4g7OrvHSNPPbPFLTD6" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

{% hint style="info" %}
Custom keybinds are completely optional and only need to be set if you want to use a specific event or setting. Jack will then tell you if you still need to set the keybind or if it's already set.
{% endhint %}

* Double click on a keybind to set.

#### **Skippable Waypoints**

{% hint style="info" %}
This is useful to avoid aligning itself on the other side of the profile at longer distances to the route.
{% endhint %}

#### Follow fleeing Targets

Specifies whether Jack should follow a fleeing target/attacker.

{% hint style="info" %}
If this option is disabled, Jack will deal with other attackers first when a target flees. If there are no other attackers around, Jack will wait for the target to come back.
{% endhint %}

#### Use Auto-Navigation

Jack will use the mesh system for everything that is automatically controlled (opponents, nodes, events, etc.).

{% endhint %}

#### Gather Mobs

Corpses that can be collected through a profession are collected.

#### Detection Distance

Specifies the distance in yards from when a node should be recognized and/or approached.

{% hint style="info" %}
If a flight mount is used, the distance affects the flight line.
{% endhint %}

#### Max. Path Distance

Specifies the maximum distance in yards of the generated path to the node. If this is exceeded, the node is ignored.

#### Gather Distance

Specifies the distance in yards "while" collecting.

#### Avoid Elites

Jack searches around the found node for Elites. If found, the node is ignored.

## Official Commands

{% hint style="info" %}
The official WoW LUA API comes with a bunch of commands and functions that anyone can access and use.

[Here you can find a clear list.](https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/World_of_Warcraft_API)
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
These commands have different execution levels. Most can be executed individually or in combination directly. Others require a hardware event and can only be executed with a mouse click or key press.
{% endhint %}

* Copy the following command into the LUA event text field.

```
print("My name is "..UnitName("player")..".")
```

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/gbRQPiCTBO9fXHKZzSGO" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

* Click on the "Test" button to test the command.
* The output in your in-game chat should look like this:

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/Z6C6Ll1WIdiY2VSYxvJc" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

Since this command doesn't really give us anything, we'll build ourselves a little conditional query to check if we have a Hearthstone in our bags:

```
if GetItemCount(6948) == 1 then
    print("Yay, i have a Hearthstone in my bag.")
else
    print("I have no Hearthstone in my bag ;(")
end
```

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/N3J65PdLfE8UVEtrX0gm" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

Also possible as a function:

```
function CheckMyHearthstone()
    if GetItemCount(6948) >= 1 then
        print("Yay, i have a Hearthstone in my bag.")
    else
        print("I have no Hearthstone in my bag ;(")
    end
end
CheckMyHearthstone()
```

{% hint style="info" %}
If a function is passed, it remains until the next reload of the game.
{% endhint %}

Alternatively, we can trigger commands or a conditional query as a Key Press event by placing a <mark style="color:yellow;">**/run**</mark> in front of it.

```
/run print("My name is "..UnitName("player")..".")
```

Enter commands line by line if you want to execute several in a row:

```
/run print("My name is "..UnitName("player")..".")
/dance
```

## Custom Commands

* Click on "Show custom commands" to display a list and descriptions of all custom commands.

{% hint style="info" %}

2. Duty Argument.
3. Optional arguments.

<pre><code><strong>WaitForNPC("NameOrID" [, "MaximumWaitTime", "DistanceInYards", "DeadOrAlive"])
</strong></code></pre>

{% hint style="info" %}
All arguments in square brackets are optional.
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="/files/ExZpXURRVX0WPulQSGlX" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

1. Description of the command and what it does.
2. Description of all arguments and what influence they can have.
3. Example(s) of correct execution of the command.

{% hint style="info" %}
We have here a command with 4 arguments. One mandatory and three optional.

First we look for the name or ID of the NPC we want to wait for. We simply take the ID "12345" as an example.
{% endhint %}

The simplest execution of the command would now look like this:

```
WaitForNPC("12345")
```

If we now want to change the maximum waiting time, we extend the command and specify a waiting time of 30 seconds:

```
WaitForNPC("12345", "30")
```

We would now like to extend the maximum search radius to 60 yards:

```
WaitForNPC("12345", "30", "60")
```

If we assume that we are looking for a dead target, we set the DeadOrAlive argument to "0":

```
WaitForNPC("12345", "30", "60", "0")
```

{% hint style="warning" %}
Custom LUA commands cannot be tested.

All available quests on the currently logged in server are retrieved and compared with the current quest events in your quest profile.

Jack deactivates all quest events whose quests are not available on the server.

# Create a PvP Profile

In this guide we will create a PvP profile in the Alterac battlefield and add it to a PvP Profile Container.

{% hint style="info" %}
These profile do the following for you:

:thumbsup: Auto-Queue\
:thumbsup: Auto-Join\
:thumbsup: Contest Battlefield\
:thumbsup: Repeat
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
The procedure for creating a PvP profile is the same for each game.

Each profile can be used with all games and only needs to be created once.
{% endhint %}

## Creating a Battlefield Profile

* Start your desired game, log in and enter the world.
* Queue to a battleground of your choice.

{% hint style="info" %}
For this example we will choose the Alterac battlefield.\
If you can't join it, you can choose any other battlefield.
{% endhint %}

* Create a new "normal" Profile.
* Create some waypoints until the gate.

{% hint style="info" %}
[Here you can find out how to create a profile.](/profile-manager/create-a-profile)

[And here how to create events.](/event-manager/create-an-event)
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="/files/3tQPuU0x3msKXrtXs4dU" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* We now create a “Wait (Wait for...)” event on our last waypoint to wait for the gate to open.

<figure><img src="/files/zaZEP0yxLaPNhhRys8Z3" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

1. Select the gate to wait for.
2. Click on the "Plus" button to add the gate ID to the textfield and confirming your selection.
3. Jack now knows which gate he has to observe.
4. Check <mark style="color:yellow;">Wait for...</mark> and <mark style="color:yellow;">Is Gate/Door or Flag</mark> and set <mark style="color:yellow;">Max. Seconds</mark> to <mark style="color:yellow;">120</mark>.
5. Save the event and continue your path.

<figure><img src="/files/FfeBEgt8OcRmgG9xf0hY" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
The procedure is the same as for a normal profile. You decide where it goes and what Jack should do. It is also possible to connect different profiles in battlefields.
{% endhint %}

* Set the profile's Combat Mode in your profile settings to <mark style="color:yellow;">PvP Offensive</mark> or <mark style="color:yellow;">PvP Defensive</mark>.

<figure><img src="/files/LNZl9qEzurkKIdjz5r8H" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
In defensive mode, Jack will only defend himself when attacked (recommended).

In offensive mode, Jack will attack all players that stand in his way.
{% endhint %}

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/3oOLoNbxTWLBmhXxq2Zb" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

{% hint style="info" %}
Both options are enabled by default.

When enabled, Jack will always use the best food/drink available in your bags.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="warning" %}
Food and Drink can also be defined manually in your own rotation.

If both are enabled/available, Food/Drink is always preferred from the rotation.
{% endhint %}

### Auto-Equip

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/3NiUaFBfu1kCTMwSxwCH" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

{% hint style="info" %}

## Expert

### Delays

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/yn9TICvQeTZVfKtvTlL9" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

#### Loot Delay

Jack uses a "Fast Loot" function which speeds up the looting considerably.\
This time indicates the delay in ms between the loots.

{% hint style="info" %}
If Jack does not always loot everything, increase the loot delay to about 500 ms.

This can occur on moderate connection speed or worse.
{% endhint %}

#### Resurrect Delay

Specifies the delay in seconds until Jack releases the character after a death.

{% hint style="info" %}
This prevents the character from waking up alive on the graveyard if the release is too fast.
{% endhint %}

#### Mount Delay

Specifies the delay between the completed mount cast and the detection of whether it was successful.

#### Min. Recharges (Dragonriding)

Specifies the minimum number of recharges Jack should wait before he starts flying again.

### Navigation

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/1HEy1eGYSC6BBSFnxmvX" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

#### Navigation Behaviour

| Behaviour | Description                                                      |
| --------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------- |
| New | Different movement mechanisms are used for different situations. |
| Legacy | A proven movement mechanism is used for all situations. |

#### Flight Behaviour

| Behaviour  | Description                                                                                                 |
| ---------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Helicopter | A proven flight mechanism with higher probability of reaching the target. |
| Smooth | Flies directly at the target on its vertical. (Looks more human, but is not as successful as "Helicopter"). |

#### Ghost

Jack will try to find a spot with as few enemies as possible and walk to it first before reviving.

***

### Flight Sensitivity

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/kwTAc6xeMEs1nUdACujY" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

A higher sensitivity means a higher tollerance to reach the next waypoint. (Jack is not too precise with the height of the next waypoint if the sensitivity is too high).

***

### Safe Paths

For events or reaching profiles, Jack uses paths with as few enemies as possible.

{% hint style="info" %}
If enabled, he will take minimally longer to reach the goal, but he will arrive much safer.
{% endhint %}

#### Height (Z-Axis)

Specifies the height difference between your character and the closest safe path found.

{% hint style="info" %}
A safe path found outside of the given height is ignored by Jack.
{% endhint %}

***

### Group

## How to edit/expand a list

{% hint style="info" %}
In this example we explain how to add a new spell.

The procedure is the same for each list and game. Only the content may differ slightly.
{% endhint %}

1. Open your Jack folder and navigate to /Data/Lists/GameName/.
2. Open the file Spells.json with an editor of your choice.
3. Scroll all the way to the bottom.
4. Here we see now the last spells in the list:

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/HOSmj2HN8hKtgtZZlrZN" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

5. You can see a clear pattern:\
   { Content, Content, Content }
6. We now add a new spell to the list:

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/LM4YrOBmNPrpgyxaHAaf" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

{% hint style="info" %}
Don't forget the comma (red arrow).
{% endhint %}

7. Adjust the values according to the following scheme:

| Name    | Value        |
| ------- | ------------ |
| "ID":   | Spell ID     |
| "Name": | "Spell Name" |

8. Restart Jack.
